The Rules

Minimum of four riders per team.
Teams to be started off at intervals and no drafting off other teams allowed.
Each team must supply:
support vehicle.
a first aid kit – no first aid kit – no start.
one functioning revolving amber light with smooth finish plastic casing that can be mounted on the roof of any vehicle associated with the tour.
Teams must complete each stage within the allotted time limit
Teams not finishing the stage within the time limit will be told by course officials to transfer to the stage finish ready to start the next stage. (Team will then not be eligible for fastest team prize).
No drafting or holding onto vehicles allowed. (A friendly reminder, cyclists or support crew are not permitted at any time to ride in the back of a utility or trailer that is being towed by a vehicle, as per the Road Traffic Code).
Australian Cycling Federation race rules will apply "in spirit" to the fastest team prize and road race category of the event.
Teams to be responsible for providing food and refreshments during the event for team riders. No A.C.F. license required for event.
Race controller's decision is final.
Disputes will be referred to "disputes committee" for ruling.
Teams must notify organizers of all accidents and rider withdrawals. Contestants must conduct themselves in a sportsman like manner.
Riders must abide by all road rules and directions from event marshals.
Teams must be registered by 6.45 am on the morning of the event at the Geraldton Foreshore.
Each team must attend a pre-race briefing.
Riders must have a road worthy bike and an approved standards bicycle helmet. (A.N.S.I. and SNELL).
Teams must have at least one rider on the road at all times.
Because of the dangerous road conditions, no changeovers will be permitted on roadway (Mt Magnet Mullewa Road) on Stage 3.
Teams with all riders wishing to compete in stage 4 individual road races, will need to ensure they have a way of getting their support vehicle to Nabawa. It is recommended that each team have a non-competing support person.
Teams with no riders in the stage 2 individual road race must complete the stage as a team relay.
No support cars allowed for the Nanson to Howatharra Optional Section of Stage 1.
